Most Expensive Cars Owned By Footballers

We love to watch these legends, but have you ever wondered what type of cars they drive? Probably not something that can be found at a local dealership. Can you blame them? If you were a professional footballer, and a star at that, you’d definitely want something that can match your levels of speed and performance at the very least. So without further ado, let’s look at some of these cars and what they’re worth.

Lionel Messi

You may have already heard about this, but La Pugla owns a Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti. It comes with a V12 4.1-litre engine that has it pushing 400 horsepower, and the car itself was made in 1957! It’s worth around the $30 million mark, and that will only go up, most likely since only four were created.

Son Heung-min

Those who love Tottenham are already well aware of how this Korean forward’s ability got him such a high profile. He got a car to match it and owns a Ferrari LaFerrari, which can be worth upwards of $5 million, and that’s again due to a quality plus rarity factor resulting in only 499 ever being made. It supposedly has 900 horsepower and has one of the fastest accelerations ever, going from 0-62 mph in around 2.6 seconds.

Cristiano Ronaldo

The Manchester United superstar and striker is a keen fan of Bugatti cars and has about four in his collection to date! Even though not the fastest, his most expensive one is the Bugatti La Voiture Noire, which is just under $20 million at ~$18.6 million.

There’s also only one ever made, making it even more impressive. The body itself is made of carbon fibre and was hand-crafted. The engine is an 8-litre quad-turbo 16-cylinder engine with horsepower of around 1,500. This has this car going from 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds.

Neymar Jr.’s

Neymar definitely has disposable income when it comes to being one of the most lucrative players in the industry. With that, he has gotten himself a Lamborghini Veneno which is priced at around $4 million to $4.5 million. Unfortunately, there were only 3 ever made, so they were almost as rare as the Bugatti and were designed to look like sports race car prototypes.

It has a similar engine to the Aventador’s 6.5 litre V12 and still has an impressive 740 horsepower. On top of that, it easily crosses 200 mph and goes from 0-60 at 2.9 seconds.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Before we even discuss the car, we can discuss that Pierre loves to have his cars outfitted in chrome or, at the least, shiny gold. So he clearly wants the colour to catch as many eyes as possible! With that said, he has followed suit to have the exact car of Son Heung-Min, which is the Ferrari LaFerrari, except just a bit shiner. The value is the same and has the same specs as well.

This is on top of the four Lamborghinis he owns as well as some more run-of-the-mill cars such as a couple of Audis and Range Rovers.

Karim Benzema

The only other person who loves Bugatti’s as much as Cristiano, if not more, owns a Bugatti Chiron. This car comes in valued at a cool $3 million and is able to reach 0-62 mph in a fast 2.5 seconds. He even had a cake made designed as a Bugatti Veyron.

This also has a horsepower that seems unreal at 1,500 with its 8-litre and 16-cylinder beast of an engine. This is, of course, on top of his other Bugatti that Benzema owns, which is a Bugatti Veyron.
